About AID<\/h2>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

AID (Academy of Interdisciplinary Dentistry)<\/strong> is a scientific organization dedicated to the dissemination of scientific knowledge and the advancement of clinical expertise and practical skills across the full spectrum of modern dentistry.<\/p>\n

The AID faculty consists of experienced clinicians and academics whose primary mission is to share their expertise within their respective fields while fostering scientific dialogue and the exchange of ideas. Through constructive discussion and interdisciplinary collaboration, AID aims to promote continuous learning and contribute to the improvement of the quality of dental care provided by all participants.<\/p>\n

In addition to its digital platform, where educational content and scientific updates are regularly published, AID organizes theoretical courses, clinical masterclasses, and hands-on workshops covering a wide range of dental disciplines. Particular emphasis is placed on occlusion, the physiology and pathology of the stomatognathic system, conventional and digital prosthetic workflows for tooth- and implant-supported restorations, as well as contemporary digital treatment concepts, including the development and application of the Digital Patient<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

To provide comprehensive education at both theoretical and clinical levels, AID has developed a structured continuing education framework based on sequential theoretical and practical modules. Participants have the opportunity to follow complete educational pathways through a series of seminars, progressively expanding their knowledge, refining their clinical skills, and gaining advanced expertise in each specialized field covered by the curriculum.<\/p>\n\n

Dr. Dimitrios Stavropoulos graduated from the Dental School of the University of Athens in 1991. He was then accepted at Columbia University to pursue further studies on the field of Prosthodontics. He completed his certificate in Prosthodontics at the School of Dental Medicine of Columbia University and a separate Masters Degree at the Graduate School of Columbia University on Biomechanics and Force distribution on Implant Prostheses. He continued his studies in Pittsburgh where he received his Certificate in Maxillofacial Prosthodontics at the School of Dental Medicine of Pittsburgh University. He has published parts of his research at Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry (JPD) and International Journal of Maxillofacial Implants (IJOMI).<\/p>\n\n

Dr. Stavropoulos has dedicated many years in teaching at the Department of Prosthodontics of Columbia University (1996-1997) and the Department of Prosthodontics of University of Athens (2002-2022). He has presented lectures in numerous Greek and International conferences and has been organising and\/or participating in various seminars and courses. He is also an active member of the most prestigious dental society in Greece (Odontostomatologic Research Society) and is the coordinator of the seminars of the society on occlusion and of the prosthodontic part of the continuing education on implants.<\/p>\n\n

Since 1998 Dr. Stavropoulos has established his private practice (\u201cDental Emphasis<\/a><\/span>\u201d) in Athens where he practices Prosthodontics with emphasis on full mouth reconstructions, complex occlusal cases and implant reconstructions.<\/p>\n

Dr. Dimitris Tasakos attended the Dental School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, where he received his degree in Dentistry in 1997.<\/p>\n\n
