From Analogue to Photogrammetry: a journey through different techniques and Accuracy as the final destination

Implant Impressions in full-arch cases has always attracted the interest of implantologists. The reason is simple. The accuracy of the impression determines the correct and passive fit of the prosthetic work. In addition, this fit ensures the long-term stability of the restoration in the mouth. Therefore, modern prosthetic materials demand excellent adaptation. Without it, serious complications may occur.

For this reason, many techniques have been developed to achieve maximum accuracy. These include different impression materials, special impression copings, and custom components. Moreover, dedicated devices and digital software have been introduced, since we now live in the digital era of dentistry. As a result, international literature provides evidence on the effectiveness and accuracy of each method.

What we will cover in the seminar:

In this seminar, we will present all the available techniques for achieving accurate implant impressions. Special focus will be given to full-arch cases, where maximum precision is required.
First, we will analyze each method step by step. Then, we will evaluate the level of difficulty, the limitations, the accuracy, as well as the necessary equipment and costs.
Finally, participants will practice on implant models. They will take impressions using different methods and devices, and directly compare the results.
