AID at the 24th Alexandria International Dental Congress 2026
Advancing Knowledge. Inspiring Clinical Excellence.
The Academy of Interdisciplinary Dentistry (AID) is proud to announce the participation of its Greek team in the 24th Alexandria International Dental Congress & Alexandria University International Dental Congress, taking place from November 3–6, 2026, in Alexandria, Egypt.
This major international dental congress brings together dental professionals, clinicians, academics, and researchers from around the world to exchange knowledge, explore contemporary clinical approaches, and discuss the future of dentistry.
Meet the AID Greece Team
Representing AID Greece at AIDC 2026 are:
- Dr. Dimitris Stavropoulos
Dr. Dimitris Tasakos
Dr. Pelopidas Lombardas
Through their individual and collaborative scientific presentations, the three clinicians will contribute to the congress’s scientific program, sharing their expertise across implant prosthodontics, digital dentistry, and interocclusal registration.
Their participation reflects AID’s commitment to connecting clinical experience with scientific knowledge and fostering meaningful dialogue within the international dental community.
Scientific Presentations
The AID Greece team will contribute to AIDC 2026 through three scientific presentations, addressing important aspects of contemporary dental practice, from implant biomechanics to digitally driven treatment planning and accurate interocclusal registration.
1. Interocclusal Registrations in the Analog and Digital Workflow Registering an Accurate Therapeutic Position and Creating the Human Articulator
Speakers: Dr. Dimitris Stavropoulos | Dr. Dimitris Tasakos | Dr. Pelopidas Lombardas

This collaborative presentation examines interocclusal registrations within both analog and digital workflows, focusing on the accurate registration of the therapeutic position and the concept of creating the “human articulator.”
The presentation highlights the importance of accurate clinical records and the relationship between conventional and digital methods in contemporary dental practice.
2. The Evolution of Biomechanical Principles on Implant Prostheses. Considerations Regarding the Distribution of Forces on Implants and Guidelines for the Prevention and Treatment of Overloading
Speaker: Dr. Dimitris Stavropoulos
This presentation explores the evolution of biomechanical principles governing implant-supported prostheses, with particular emphasis on the distribution of forces on dental implants and considerations for the prevention and management of overloading.
The topic highlights the importance of biomechanical understanding in treatment planning and the design of implant-supported restorations.
3. Facially Driven Digital Workflow
Speaker: Dr. Dimitris Tasakos
This presentation focuses on the integration of facial references into digital dental workflows, highlighting the role of facially driven planning in contemporary restorative and prosthetic treatment.
It addresses the importance of connecting digital planning with the patient’s facial characteristics to support a more comprehensive approach to treatment design.
Full-Day Workshop at AIDC 2026
Digital Facebow and Accurate Digital Articulation of Scanned Arches
As part of the 24th Alexandria International Dental Congress 2026, the AID Greece team will participate in a full-day workshop dedicated to digital facebow techniques and the accurate digital articulation of scanned arches.
The workshop will bring together the expertise of Dr. Dimitris Stavropoulos, Dr. Dimitris Tasakos, and Dr. Pelopidas Lombardas, connecting the scientific themes of the AID team’s presentations with contemporary digital workflows and their clinical applications.
